OK here goes;

Are these the same species?

PICT0118.jpg

I have a smaller one of the more redish one and his black stripes are 4 to 5 times thicker then the orange ones.

The orange one was bought as occelaris, and the other as a percula

I would say that both are A. Ocellaris... but I might be wrong. I'm certain someone will say soooo..

???

Just what you thought in the first place, the one with more black color is an True Percula, the one with less black is an Ocellaris.

The two that look the same will pick on the one that looks different but they will also have some interaction but not much. It is not that aggressive yet but all 3 are still young fish, less then a year old.

And the answer is..........

The larger one in the forground is percula via it has 9 spines.

The one in the background is occelaris.

Yes I did the spine count and for my luck they both did not have 10 spines like I expected them to have.

So anyone know of a 9 spine occelaris?
