clown pairing question

How long does it take for clowns to pair up on average. I have a rbta and one perc. I just added a second perc to the tano Friday. My original clown chases the new one and nips at it. Especially near the rbta. Do I need to worry and pull one out or is this normal and how long will it last. Thanks.

Was the one you added close to the same size as the first? or was it smaller? bigger? there are a lot of different things that can change how long it will take before they "pair" up, usually you can tell within a few days if they are going to be friendly to each other, or if one is going to kill the other
