clown problem

ok, so as I was doing my water change yesterday, apparently a hair from my noggin must have fallen into the tank, because my clown has a sting of hair maybe 2-3 inches hanging out of his mouth. obviously I am worried that he may choke.i have cautiously tried to get close enough (while he is hiding in his nem) to try and grab it, but yeah that's just not going to happen.
should I be worried?
