Clown(s) in a nano

Right now I have a 10G nano that is only home to some mushrooms, a scarlet shrimp and a Firefish up since November 7). Unfortunately since I got the Firefish about 3 and a half months ago, I still only see him at feeding time. I have tried everything from mixing up the feeding time to rearranging the LR. Nothing has worked. SO I will be switching over to fish I can actually enjoy.
I am curious what type of clownfish I can keep in this small of a tank. I plan to upgrade to a 55G about this time next year. I would love anything but would like to have unique fish. My LFS owner says that he keeps/encourages pairs of Ocellaris for nanos, but I would love something other than Ocellaris. I really like True Percs and Picassos. Can I keep anything other than an ocellaris and should a buy a pair or a single fish? Thanks in advance for any help!

Three fish in a 10G is pushing it a bit, bioload-wise. You'll have to be diligent with your water changes and skimming. If you do decide to get a pair of clowns, either a pair of perculas or a pair of ocellaris would be appropriate.

If you prefer the perculas (picassos are just a variety of percs), go ahead and get those. And I always recommend pairs, just because it's fun to watch them interact. :)

Sorry forgot to post i was going to move the firefish into another tank if need be. So judging by your posts it looks like I can have a pair in the tank and it would be better to move the firefish. My research leads me to believe that fish from ORA are the highest quality on the market. How would I go about getting those fish since I cannot directly order from them?

You can check with your LFS to see if they'll place an order with ORA for you. You can also get CB clownfish online from other breeders. If you're interested in the Picassos, for example, there's a seller called Doni's Reef (she's local here in NC) whose fish get rave reviews on this site. Live Aquaria and Diver's Den also sell CB clowns--DD offers pairs, but the designer morphs like Picassos can be quite pricey.
