Clown with Ick

I have two clowns in a quarantine tank because they had severe ick. I have been treating with malachite/formalin and now they seem to be spinning in circles in the tank. Checked water, all levels were good, ph8.3, nitrate/trite o, salinity right on. Temperature around 82. Spots look a little better, but they are swimming in circles on their sides now, almost like they are hanging from the surface of the water? Could this be swim bladder (not sure if saltwater fish get this?) and if so can it be treated? Thanks :)

I think formalin should only be used as a dip for ich. I've always used copper for ich. Check out WaterKeeper's sticky on ich in the newby forum. You said that the water params were fine-did you use water from your DT?

Yeah I took the water from my main tank. I didn't know that about the formalin! I went to the LFS today and couldn't find anything for saltwater ich? I am assuming that freshwater medication is not compatible for saltwater diseases?

Depends, there are some that are fresh only, some that are both.. I assume there are some salt only but I don't know this to be fact.
