\Clownfish/ 29 Gallon BioCube Tank

Good luck man. It feels good when things hit this stage and you can start to see the fruits of your labor.

Hopefully you dont go through the GHA battle I am fighting with my cube. I have my reactor getting delivered tomorrow to step up my game against the GHA

I'm starting to loose the battle myself. I have Phosguard running in a media bag, not cutting it. What reactor are you going to be using?

\CF/ you are doing very well. You are much more patient than myself.

It is hanging on the wall behind the tank with the pump in chamber two and the return in chamber 3

You have your tank further away from the wall then I do. I have it just far enough away to open the hood. Thinking of plumbing one down to the stand and put it in a bucket for safety.

I also have the aquamaxx hob 1 hanging off the tank so I can't be against the wall. Probably about 6 inches our so from the wall. Not noticeable really since I have a book shelf on one side and dog crates on the other

Update: Firefish

Firefish had a large white patchy spot in the morning and seemed to be doing fine. This morning DEAD :(. I wonder what it could of been.

Day # 20

Parameters Today

Salinity 1.024
PH - 8.0
Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - 0ppm
Nitrate - 20ppm (high again, probably because I moved some sand around.)
Phosphate - 2.5 ppm

I have a small blooming of diatoms now which the cuc is enjoying. Hopefully next weeks I will retry another fish. Staying positive :)

I've noticed some neon green circles appearing on my rock. Do you guys know what it could be. It's hard to get a picture of.

Hmm they look like diatoms but but neon green. Question, would I be able to start with pink Xenia for my first coral before my first fish, just wondering.

True....Xenias are usually decently durable. I would try a euphyllia first. They seem to be really a tough species and provide great movement. Plus, you get to see them wake up and grow 10X their night size everyday. I have had tougher euphyllia than mushrooms and Zoa's.

euphyllia: hammer, frogspawn, torch

And I agree that my euphyllia shows much more life then my other corals at this moment and have been growing faster. But they require a closer eye as they have decent sweepers to attack other corals.

Day #21

Parameters Today

Salinity 1.024
PH - 8.0
Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - -0 ppm
Nitrate - 10 ppm
Phosphate - 0 ppm

These were from earlier this morning. I was on Craigslist earlier today and found some xenia for 15 dollars. The size of the frag is about the size of a fist and inspected it for any pest. I then acclimated and plopped right in the tank. The frag is doing wonderful. It is pulsating and has loads of movement.
