\Clownfish/ 29 Gallon BioCube Tank

Clown, I have had a Coral Beauty in my 27g cube for 4 months now and have had no problems. I don't have any corals though, but plan on adding some soon. I am new to the hobby like you so this is just my experience so far.

Just a small update from me... I should really do my own build thread, but I'm way past that now. :(

Anyways, I bought a black capped basslet and threw him in QT. Unfortuantly he made it 3 days. :( Had to take the "body" and a water sample to my LFS(standard practice, that way if your water is off they don't have to honor their guarantee). Long story short, water is perfect, new fish ordered and an orange octospawn on order. I was given the price of roughly 110$ for a 4 to 5 head chunk. Or roughly 40$ for a small 1 head frag. I like to watch things grow, so went with the 1 head frag. Should be here in a couple weeks. Tanks beginning to fill in nicely. Still have to decide what I want to do about upgraded lighting(have the $$, just haven't decided what route to take), so I can start throwing in some hardier SPS's.

Hey homer1475 let see a couple of photo of your setup.

I've had my green bta in my biocube since it turned about 4 months and my clowns love it. I think it's a beautiful Addition and I recommend having one.

jbene I think you misinterpret this thread. It is not a show your clowns thread but member clownfish's build thread.

I was recommending a bta to another member not showing off my clowns. It's a build thread and I was offering my advice. I've been following this thread quietly since the beginning. Sorry for chiming in guys and sorry if my comment and picture was misinterpreted.

Anyway..............

Update: So my LFS had a flame angel and a coral beauty about 3 inches in length today, they have been together ever since I started my tank. The first time I saw them they were the size of a fingernail and now they are the 3 inches in length, brightly colored, and look very healthy. Today he had them both for sale for $68 and I have been debating on whether to get either the flame or the beauty, sooooo I purchased them and now are in my QT.

Question: Will I be able to keep both or will I end up having to choose between the two? Both non aggressive towards each other and swim side by side all the time.

Today: Did a water change today and cleaned the sanded and corals are still growing :) Xenia is all over one of my rocks now lol! Darn thing! but I do like the way it spread but will keep it under control from now on. Tank is now 3 months old!!! Clownfish are still doing great and have been trying to host my LPS coral. They developed a few black spots which they got while trying to host but now they are fading away.

If the 2 angels have been getting along at the store they should be fine in your tank. I've kept a lemon peel and coral beauty together in a 20 gallon in the past and never had issues.

I would be more worried about overstocking the tank tbh, with 2 clownfish the will most likely grow to 3" and two dwarf Angels that will grow to 4", just my .02$

I agree with spineless. Overstock also leads to aggression as well as change in character where they attack corals if ther were not before. I would select the one you want and return the other.
