\Clownfish/ 29 Gallon BioCube Tank

Just to one up soulpatch, you should get a 150 cube

I was going to go 150 till I started to add up all the costs of the items...

I am going to be EASILY well over 4K on just this build before I even begin stocking it. And that is with me already having a ton of the stuff needed.

Tank is the cheap part but everything else costs some serious coin...

And everything for the 93 is going to be the same as a 150, so might as well add more real estate since the equipment will be the same :)

+1 coming from freshwater the price of things shocks you sometimes, just for my 75 I've put almost 1k in it and i just filled it with water

Not lighting and PH. Or the water changes and so on and so forth. For me to go up that size of tank would cost me roughly another 500+ just in rock...

The big tank will be my gift when I move into the new house and can do a proper fish room and such. Right now I am limited on space in my current house and as such a 36x36 tank would not fit well in my room.

Spineless I can't say I was shocked since I have a few grand easily into my tiny biocube BUT I do have to keep a certain budget. I have other things to account for.

Definitely understandable. With all of this new "Amano-inspired" aquacscapes going around, I figured less is more on rock these days.

93 cube is a good transition into "big tank" territory. My only concern was that with 36" it isn't the ideal length for most of the medium sized tangs despite it being a big tank. I guess that's the tradeoff with the cubes.

Either way, can't go wrong, and I'm looking forward to everyone's builds!

I will have a kole tang in my cube. Should be sufficient space given they are smaller and require less space. I also do want a more open aquascape in the new tank. I love my nano but it is a bit crowded in there.

Sadly, I think \clownfish/ has moved on........... Sad seeing as we both started at the same time and with very similar setups.

IMO there are no "best cities", any and all cities suck! I'll take the wide open country any day of the week.

Hello Everyone :fish1:

Sure missed being here on the forums lol! Sadly I had to sell my tank due to my apt lease not letting me keep it. I do still have the urge to start one up again, a large one that is. i will stop by more often to steal ideas hehehehe.

So I'm getting back into the hobby again!! :celeb2: I'm going to buy the 56 column tank, clean it out out eventually set it right up. I will post a similar thread for that tank. I'm excited and ready to start!! :fish1:
