Clownfish agression

I am looking for some guidance with clownfish aggression. I have had a single true percula clownfish in my 20 gal nano for about a month. As I have had it alone for a while I am treating it as if it were a female. The fish is about a inch and a half long. Yesterday I was at my LFS and saw a two picasso clownfish in a tank. Since I have been looking for a mate for my clownfish I decided to get one. I told the storeowner about my tank and about the resident clownfish. He told me that the picassos he had were to small to have a gender. They were both about ¾" "“ 1" in length. I then chose the one that I thought had the better pattern, which also turned out to be the fish that was slightly larger, and brought it home. Since then the resident clownfish of the nano had been somewhat of a terror to the picasso. There have been numerous times when she bits a fin and just thrashes the picasso around.

Is what I am seeing normal aggression? (It certainly doesn't seem like it to me.) Do small clownfish really not have a gender or was I fed a bunch of bull? Right now the picasso is hiding behind a power head. Should I wait and see if the aggression subsides over the next day or so or should I pull one of the clownfish out?

All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
