Clownfish help

Hey everyone, came home today to find my one clownfish in my one tube for my canister filter... Stupid part on my end by leaving the safety end off. Anyways these two clowns have been paired for about 1.5 years... I plan on buying another one (the smaller one died). My tank is 75 gallons. What's the best way to have them pair up? Just in the tank itself or put them in a breeder box on the back?

Crap shoot.....clowns pick their partner you can't make them pair...try a smaller one the one you have and see what happens

I agree that your best shot would be to get a smaller clown then your existing one. Get one that isn't the largest or that isnt the dominate clown in the tank at the store. This will insure your not gonna end up with 2 females!

I think it would be best but if you want a pair you can make it work without to much of a problem

Best odds are buy a juvenile of the same species. You can often buy direct from a breeder.

If it was me I would go get odd 3 5 7. Ya Get three smaller ones and he will have three virgins he will be in his glory. If they want to separate groups then they can do that also.
