i think it's a black clarkii but wanted to double check... most of the pics i found onloine didn't quite look the same...

Yes, it's an A. clarkii.

are black pelvic fins something that happens overtime? most pictures i see of adults have orange pelvic fins.

I dont know but that little hippo tang on the bottom doesnt look so hot...
