Hello Everyone,
To make a long story short, kind of, I had 4 clowns. I bought 2 mated pair through LiveAquaria about a year ago and had them in separate tanks. One ORA Snowflake pair and the other pair was a True Black Onyx Perc (Wild) mated with a Black Ocellaris (the fry are Photon clowns).
Anyway, I put them all in a tank together. The female snowflake jumped out of the top, they were not bullying her. So the snowflake male and the True Onyx Perc paired up, leaving the black Ocellaris to itself. Then the bullying started with the Perc/Snowflake pair towards the black ony.
So in an effort to stop the fighting, I went and bought a small Perc from the lfs, thinking it might pair and help the black one. As soon as I put it in, the above pair started nipping badly. The True Onyx Perc (Wild by the way) is ruthless and was on her way to killing him.
I went out and bought a small tank and put the black ocellaris and the new Perc, in the tank. They started hanging out immediately and are doing great. However, I would like to know if the picture below is a true perc / picasso perc / or an Ocellaris. I believe it is a true perc.
He is pretty small, maybe 1.5 inch. I snapped this pic on my IPhone so it might not be that good. Thanks for any feedback. The third pic is the snowflake / True black onyx perc that paired in my larger tank.
