Clownfish in small tanks

they'd be ok ... they would probably prefer a 20 gallon, but 10 gallon is cool too, provided they are the only fish in there :)

I've got a pair of false percs in my 10 gal nano, they are the only fish besides my snails/crabs and shrimp... 5 months now and everyone is happy and doing well.. The clowns are starting to mature and I believe are sexing (hopefully some egg laying is in the near future) :D

If they are young you could go with a ten gallon but 20 is considered a minimum.

A ten is just fine for a pair of percs though be aware that you've got to keep a firm handle on your water in a tank that small. Personally, I'd go a little larger for them but according to "Clownfishes" by Dr. Wilkerson, a ten is fine.

I'd get a bigger tank just for the sake of the clowns.

Personally, I like to give my fish a LOT of space. I'll be setting up an 86.4g in January and the only fish will be a pair of tomatos.
