Only 2 days into QT, my orange ocellaris clownfish jumped. Didn't see her until it was too late. She manage to jump through a gap less than an inch wide.....landed on the floor, flopped her way UNDER the tiny gap of my cabinet!!

covered in dust, put her into a bucket, stopped breathing soon after.

sad sad :sad2:

I was wondering why the little black ocellaris was motionless in the corner of the QT :sad2:

That sucks. Some fish are extra good escape artists. Lost a blue dot jawfish and a ruby red dragonet this way. I swear the gaps in which they made it through were smaller in diameter than they were.

I've had three fish jump (long-nose hawk, regal angel (so sad!), midas blenny). I've always kept a screen on top. They find the smallest holes.

Sorry that happened to you! :(

I've lost two clowns from jumping out of the tank, one made it through probably a 1/2" gap and was found on top of the screen. Go figure!

I had a Tiger Goby manage to escape through an area that he should have never been able to get out of. Nothing worse than realizing you are down a fish. In my case there was a silver lining because the replacement tiger sent was not afraid as soon as it was put in the QT where the first was startled by everything.

Sorry you ended up with the adventurous clown... mine have always been lazy
