clownfish lifespan

I've had mine for about 9 years....well, I've had him two years and a friend had him for 7. He's still kickin it!

I had a 15+ year old maroon and there was a nearly 25 year old ocellaris post on here. Both of these clowns were wild caught so who knows how old they truely were.

my parents have a goldfish in a tiny tank......water changes once in a blue moon....and its well over 15 years old (my sister won it at the fair when she was a kid in grade school.......and now shes almost done university...just to give you some perspective)

im sure clows can live longer than a stupid goldfish lol

but it can all depend on the specimen

Goldfish can actually live very long. I'm surprised that one is holding on so long in those conditions, but goldfish should live up to 40 years given good care. So that's longer than a clownfish...
