Clownfish moved out of large anemone and trying to host small one

I have two small clownfish one have had for months and added another in the weekend (got rid of his original match due to bullying) when first added him they were fighting for a while, I went out for a bit and when I came home they seemed to have already paired up, and new one had joined other in a bubble tip anemone he was hosting, all normal till yesterday when I noticed they both were no longer going into the anemone at all and clownfish I've had for a while is now trying to host a small anemone in the tank but he is way to big for it, he keeps on rubbing upto it and sticking his face into its mouth, has been doing this on and off since yesterday, other ones just cruising underneath big anemone but won't go in it? Anyone have any idea what could have caused them to leave the anemone?

Dominance.

My Cinnamon's want to control ALL the anemones. The female will not let the male inside it and he tries to host frogspawn, clam, duncons, ANYTHING.. LOL

No. The question was, why did they leave one nem for another. The answer is - they simply prefer the other one. No rhyme or reason.

The small ones small as though he can't even fit in it, so will they stay with that one now and not go back to the larger BTA?

They may go back, they may not. They may even bounce around between the two. This is normal behavior. In my bta prop tank I currently have 13 nems and a pair of clowns. They go from one nem to another.

My two cinnamons would run between the anemones. Sometimes spending most of the day in one. If someone else got close to one of the other ones it would chase it away but go back to where it was.

Then out of the blue it would switch to the other one for a week or so.
