Clownfish problem just dosed Prazipro

Hello, I am 1 day in on day 2 of TTM. The first few days my clownfish was eating normal (Spectrum pellet) and swimming around no problem. This morning I woke up to find him hanging in the corner and breathing heavy with a long stringy poop hanging from him. Since I had not treated the tank with Prazipro yet I just dosed him with Prazipro .245 ML, it is a 10G tank. (Don't kill me for treating without posting first please). I have an aerator with stone at full blast and also have a Koralie Nano in the tank pointing up at the top. I just want to confirm that I did the right thing with the Prazipro. Also, tomorrow will be day 3 (72 hr) of 2nd day of TTM and I wanted to find out if I should dose again with Prazi tomorrow since the water will be new again? Temp is around 75-76. RO/DI water used. Thank you for the info & help..

Prazi is very well tolerated by most fish so don't worry about the prazi hurting him. Sounds like you have enough aeration. It would appear the clown has an internal parasite. IME prazi did not successfully treat this. You could dose the prazi again after you do the next transfer and see how the clown reacts.

Thank you.. Just to clarify.. I just dosed the Prazi this morning as that is when I noticed something was wrong. About how long do you think it would take to see results in the Prazi? Also, should I repeat for the next TTM considering that tomorrow is the last day of TTM for the second round and I have only allowed 2 days and then tomorrow starts the third round of TTM. Hopefully I clarified that correctly

I'm currently treating with Prazi too. Why didn't you just treat the whole tank with it since it's not harmful to inverts or plants and it's a parasite so the others may be carrying it? Just curious.

I don't have my DT up and running yet. I am doing the TTM for the 5 day transfer then off to the QT he goes for 30 days. Hopefully by then the DT will be set up.

Prazi is only effective for about 3 days.. DO NOT dose prazi into the tank that's already got Prazi...

so basically you have Prazi in your 2nd tank. Transfer the clown into a clean tank for 3 days. Then dose the 4th tank with Prazi.

Prazi kills the worms, but not their eggs. Eggs can take a week to hatch. So you skip 1 transfer to allow possible eggs to hatch, then dose prazi again to kill the fresh borns

Prazi also makes your fish lose a little appetite. do not worry.

You could just postpone TTM until after you finish the prazi treatment. Also if prazi doesn't work, try metro. General cure has worked for me and it has both metro and prazi in it.

No more than 72 hours in between transfers. While prazi is effective against external nematodes (flukes) it can be hit or miss on internal worms/parasites. I've never had luck with it treating internal. For that I've used metro. You can dose again as suggested above and see if the clown is any better. If not than I would switch to metro.

ya, don't abandon your TTM. Prazi for 4th transfer. If it doesn't work, use Metro in fish food as the folks above recommended.
