Clownfish resting on bottom

I have noticed that my clownfish is just kinda chilling on the bed of the tank... is he ok? Is this a sign of something??

Mine does this as well... was alarming at first but he seems fine and has been doing this for over a year...

Maybe he/she hosts the sand bed? My dads pink skunks do that when they sleep. His Occellaris host the mag-float. They sleep in the corner right next to it.

Clowns can be.. well.. clowns... my pair hosts the back wall/corner of the tank. They hang out vertically and lay their eggs on the back wall too. All the while they have plenty of room and an RBTA that they could be hanging out in.

When I first moved my clowns to a new, bigger tank they slept on the sand for about a month. Now they sleep in the anemones, but the male sleeps on the eggs 9 of 10 days. (The 10th day the eggs are hatched, the 11th day more are laid...) :)

mine have been doing this for 4 years all throughout the tank i think clowns are just lazy and pick the least amount of water flow to rest in, turn off water flow for a short period of time and youll find out.

+1 on the lazy clowns..
Mine will rest behind the Koralia Nano (where flow is the least).. Sometimes resting on the quietest corner if it's even lazy to swim..

If it is feeding well, I would not worry too much about it..

I had my clown for over a year in a 26 gallon, moved him over to a 125 gallon tonight actually and straight to the bottom corner just like in the 30 gallon.I would say it's normal I guess.

Thanks for all of your guys post... I have also noticed that the place they are resting is where they are "nesting" which has been months now lol

My clown does the same thing. At first I was concern and thought something was wrong since it's just laying on top of the sand and hardly moving. Now I know better, it's been doing this for over a year and absolutely healthy. Sucks cause my sebae anemone is only about 6 inches away and the clown won't go there.
