Clownfish Turning Blue/Gray

Has anyone seen this in a clown, this clown has started turning a blue/gray metallic color on its rear. I'm guessing genetic but not familiar with this trait if it is. It was all white up until a couple weeks ago and it seems to be progressing slowly into it's center bar.

While I agree its normal, its actually kind of rare. I believe you have a dirty tail clown or dusty tail clown. I can't tell if its a true percula or a occy... but that particular trait has turned up more often in occy. But not to say that it hasn't shown up in percs.

Actually grey tail can be found on true perculas, especially from Solomon Islands. I had one and I think someone else on this forum has it too. Saw these Picasso clowns for sale on eBay. At least one of them has a black tail with some gray

I think you miss read, I never said it doesn't show up in percs. I actually stated I see it more often in occys but its not exclusive to occy ("But not to say that it hasn't shown up in percs").

Looking at your specimen, I can definitely say that it has at least some occy blood. Just note the shade of orange and the contrast with the black. Obviously does not match the percula if you observe carefully. It could be some sort of a caramel clown mixed with a snowflake. What do you all think?

P.S.
CoralAddiction, I HAVE seen the bluish-grey sheen on the rear ends of some percs, but you could have shown a better example of the rare occurrence. The percs from your screenshot don't exactly meet the criteria of the clowns we're discussing ATM.

If you HAVE seen it may be you can post a better sample
Picture yourself instead?

And I'm not the person who usually brings his camera to the LFS. The percs I saw were specially bred w/occys or something like that. Anyways, the white stripes were all peacock bluish, but three shades lighter.
