Hi everybody - This is my first post on the board, so forgive me if this topic has already been discussed previously.
I set up a 55 gal. tank about 4 months ago. I put in a DSB with plenum, and about 40lbs of liverock, and seeded the sand with a couple pounds of livesand. Snails, hermits, etc. Nitrate levels are almost undetectable. I did not add any fish until the last month. I currently have 1 Blue-Green Chromis, an Alleni Damsel, and I added a tank-raised False Perc last week.
The fish are getting along fine, I haven't noticed any aggression. A few days ago, The Perc developed a small white-colored bump of flesh on his forehead, smack dab between his eyes. The best way I can describe it, is that it looks like a bubble. Its raised about an 1/8th inch. The fish has good color, and is eating aggressively. He is not breathing rapidly, or swimming strange.
I have pics, but have not uploaded them yet. Can anybody tell me what this might be?
Thank you for your help.
