-hi reefers ,

-i`ve cycled my tank for 7 weeks now , and measuring nothing bad.
The guy at the LFS told me i now could add some fish.
i added a salarias and 2 baby percula`s.
the perucula`s look healthy , but they keep swimming in the left corner of my aquarium, where the current is high because there
is my return from sump.

do they do that because they have no anemoon to host ?
or is it something else ?

Gee, 7 weeks is pretty early. You should add the livestock slowly, you could create a mini cycle. Their behavior is normal, they will choose a favorite spot, nothing to worry about. They do fine without an anemone. If you are considering an anemone, your tank needs to be stable and 6 months old. Be careful, following the advice of your LFS, double check what they tell you, they are not always looking out for your best interest. Feed sparingly with the 2 fish and any uneaten food, you could easily overload your tanks ability to process it all.

-thx Lmecher ,

will wait long before i add more fish or even a anemoon , now
i know they don`t realy need a anemoon.

the guy from the LFS said that , if i had no bad readings (water)
for serveral weeks that i probably could add small fish.
but yeah they all wanna sell fish:rolleyes:

-i fed the clowns a little bit of dry flakes ,
but they not seemed to be hungry .

-what kind of food do you give yours clowns?

Honestly, i think your fine adding the fish the way you did. You waited a decent period and are testing the water. I fed my clowns Omega one marine w/garlic when i first got them, but now i feed frozen preps with mysis. They love it! And i had my clowns for about two years with no anemone and they appeared to be perfectly happy. Out of curiosity, when you set up your tank, what did you use for rock? Was it cured or dry base rock?

If I had a dollar for everytime I read a post from a newbie setting up a tank and adding fish, anemones etc. then having problems, I'd be rich. All kidding aside, there are so many variables that are unknown in each individual case, suggestions are generalized. I think going slow is a good thing. Tigereye your probibly right, tntneon will be probably fine as long as he/she don't go out and add an anemone tomorrow, you know it happens.
tntneon, that was just an example of what we see here, I know you are going to be resopnsible and wait for the nem.
Oh and I feed mysis, Rod's and a good quality pelleted food.

@tigereye37 :

-i`ve used different supplyers (3) ,

one had already cured LR (that piece with the bali polyps on)
used about 2.4 kg

the second, had 1.8kg LR that was 3 weeks old

the third ,had LR that was 10 days old ,about 4 kg

total of 8.2 kg in 20 g system.

only on the freshsed LR , i had a little bit of algea on.
waterparameters PO4 , NO and NO3 always read zero

see pic (system without fish) about 3 weeks ago :

and sump system 6g:

i understand what Lmelcher means , by bringing in patiently
and giving the system time to addapt to the new waste import.
i `ll now wait till after february to put something new in.

There is no sand in youre tank....whats up wiht that?

-i`m gonna add it later when the tank is older , and there`s less
chance of algea outbreak.

-if spores get in the sand then you almost won`t get it out ,
that is what more experienced reefers here told me.
th sand storm that would follow , would be not problem for the skimmer , they said me.(?)
