Clowns fighting?

Hey all, I have been running my 90 gallon saltwater for about 5 weeks now. I started off with a couple clowns, a sandsifting goby and a peppermint shrimp. I then added a yellow tang. Then a blue tang. All were getting along great until i added two more, very small, clowns. The two older clowns picked on these new clowns for a couple days then all seemed to be fine. They just went on about their own business as per usual. So the other day my dog was sniffing around on the ground and bam, little clownfish on the carpet, not so much alive.
Anyway, I went to the store and purchased another small, but bigger than my smallest in the tank. It is getting chased around like crazy by the other bigger male. The smaller one i had wont go near it and it just sits in the corner by itself, when its not being chased.
Any advice? I am thinking i should put the new one and my smallest one in my refuge for a while so they become a pair then try to introduce them back into the tank. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You need to get rid of the second pair of clowns. Two pairs will not work in a 90. This is especially true when the larger pair reaches sexual maturity.

Agreed. You might also want to slow down considerably on stocking your tank. 5 weeks is a bit new to be stocking so fast.

It might be 6 weeks. I dont know. Lost track. Oh no it's 6 cause I did my third water change today and I do 20% every two weeks. I'm thinkin about putting the smaller two clowns in my refugium. Lots of pods and things they can eat in there. It's lit by a 50/50 bulb in a reflective housing. Runs opposite of my display tanks. There is also some chaeto, kerlerpa(if thats spent right) and a few pounds of live rock.

5 or 6 weeks, it is all the same -- way too soon to have that much livestock.

You can put them in the fuge, but that will defeat the purpose of having a fuge. Would be better off bringing them back to the LFS or sell them to a fellow reefer.

I would get the small clowns out or the other clowns are going to kill it. And i agree way to fast on adding so many fish.
