clowns going on vacation...

so my clowns are taking a vacation from me for a week and they are a spawning pair of occelaris. I've been feeding them 3-4 times a day to get them ready. Can I leave them for an entire week without eating?

I have an automatic feeder but I just don't like or trust it.

any other suggestions

I should note; they are in a 29 gal tank with nothing but a pot and a hang on the back filter,and light

Y dnt u get a sitter? a family member or a close friend?

last time I had a sitter, it was a nightmare. I went to australia for 1 month and when I returned, my wife's niece cause over $1,000 worth of damage to the house as well as posting party's at my house on myspace.com.

Will never get a sitter again, would rather tear down tank

For a week you would probably be okay. You said you don't trust the feeder... does it overfeed or not always work? If it doesn't always work, you could let it run anyway and maybe they would eat occasionly then.

I pulled out the auto feeder (Eheim auto feeder) that I just don't like and re-programmed it. I have it set to feed once a day about 25 pellets, I figure that way they will get some food and I have a lower chance for raised ammon and such. did a water change today.
