Clowns gone crazy

AquaReeferMan

Got Reef?
Hello everyone. I have a S haddoni hosting a pair of Saddleback clowns in my 55g. I have had the clowns for about 3 months. They are doing great as is the carpet. My only problem is they have become very aggressive. They keep chasing my fish into the nem. This happens with new fish and fish that were in the tank before the clowns. The only one that has been safe is my hippo tang. When I get a new fish I place it into this in-tank acrylic box type deal I got. When the fish are in it the clowns swim up and dont try and attack them but as soon as they enter the water and are seen its over. The clowns chase the fish and eventually run it right into the nem. Has anyone else ever had this type of problem. There is really nothing I am able/going to do about it just looking for other experiences and what might have suddenly brought this behavior on. TIA

they are trying to feed theyre nem. ive heard of this happening before. unfortunately i cant think of a way to stop it except buying extreamely fast agile fish... :(

The only fish fast enough to stay away from my percs are the original chromis I used to cycle the tank last April. I also have a pseudochromis....a fantastic little guy....who is fast and fun to watch....no problems in the last 4 mos with him.
