Looking for help and advise. My wife just pointed out a clutch of eggs laid by a pair ( a percula and an ocellaris ) on the glass near their anemone in our 75 gal. reef tank. Can they be extracted saved and reared. We're totally un-prepared and can find little info in our books. can anyone help.

I am in this situation as well, and it will take you a while to setup a system to deal with the eggs, you have to breed rotifers and algae and brine and have all sorts of stuff. Dont worry form what ive read they will lay more eggs in a week or two, so if youre interested in breeding them i have jsut posted a question in this forum about setting up a breeding tank and stuff...no replies yet but might in teh forseeable future.

hit up the breeding forum, you can get some really detailed advice there. If you are not prepared for the eggs, it is too late to start. get your rotifer and brine shrimp cultures ready and perhaps for the next spawn you can be setup.

Pick up a copy of "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wilkerson. It's a great introduction to what is required to raise the eggs.
