clowns hiding

anemi

Hello All,

Had a pair of common clowns for a week now(tanks been running for a month)

I was getting worried that I havent seen my female clown for a couple of days and that the male seems to be staying in the bottom corner of my tank.

So today i did a little bit of hunting and found the female hiding in a rock cave, when I went near to the cave she came and and swam over to the male, after a couple of minutes she went back to her cave and he went back to his corner.

Should I worry about this, or is it normal???

Thought Id had a couple of fish to give some movement in the tank and I cant even see them

So the tank was up and running for only three weeks before you put fish in? How is yoiur water?? has the tank finished it's cycle?

OK quick update, yes she comes out to feed

Tank is fully cycled,

Ammonia 0
nitrIte 0
Nitrate 10
sg 1025
temp 26

come home from work today and cant see the smaller male anywhere, have moved the LR around and hes not to be seen, starting to get worried.

How can a fish just disapear??

How can a fish just disapear??

Is there an anemone in the tank? You'd be amazed at how well hety can hide in and under an anemone.

Also, did it jump out? I've had FW fish do this all the time, but haven't seed it tih my SW...

Could somthing have eaten it?

good luck!

Rob

As the tank is new I only have(had) a pait of clowns and a leather coral in it.

I've moved all the LR around and no sign of it, the only thing I can think of is that it must of jumped, Do clowns jump???
