I guess there were several threads about clowns nips or even dashes into the mouth of anemones

while searchin how tropic marin reef actif interactin anemone, i found this scuba video shot at panagsama

the mouth washin should be normal in nature so i guess they shouldn't be harmful to nem

IME, it was more harmful to the clown. I used to have a female saddleback (( A. polymnus )) who would do that any time I tried to clean the tank. The last time she did it, she didn't reappear for about 15 minutes. At that point she shot out of the mouth like a bat out of hell, running into all the sides of the tank. She lasted about 3 days after that.

since they do that in nature, presumably there'd be a way for both of them to interact and survive it

but i guess nems do be able to eat up nemos cuz one of my friends witnessed his hadoni eatin one of his clarkii's

it was kinda brutal and merciless accordin to his words

I did forget to state that it was an S. haddoni, so that might have had something to do with it. The male would do it too, but never for more than a couple of seconds.
