Clowns

Anyone keep different types of clowns in the same tank? I have a mated pair of true percs, who are in love with my frogspawn and I was wondering about a maroon clown?

Problems? I see clowns of different types in the same tanks at a LFS and it started me thinking...

I have a pair of regular orange percs and a pair of black percs in the 125, no aggression and they mostly keep away from each other. I know others here have mixed clown types.

the answer is no. maroon is very mean and will kill your other clowns. especially in a 58

try a pair of skunk or blk clowns?

I had a 2 Ocellaris(~ 1") and a maroon (1.5 - 2") living just fine in a 25.

[Edit:] They had been living together for while before i bought them all.

Well the Maroon would be the last one added, if that might help at all. Not to mention the Percs don't hang out at all by my RBTA. Seems to me like there is plenty of room for swimming and hiding too for all.

I might try it with some caution added.

I have heard what trottman has said before. I believe the maroon, once he got older would, have caused a problems. so like you said, caution initially, with the idea of moving the maroon out later when she got too big :)

I have two maroons a mated pair and two blacks mated pair .They all get along fine I added the black pair last and they swim together all the time with no problems at all . I have a 135 gallon tank .
