If you have room for the small fuge then go for it. My point was simply that it will be better at producing pods, which is good, than reduce nitrates all that much, if that's what you were counting on it for.
Sure, LR and/or cheato are good. With cheato you should make sure that it gets tumbled constantly in the fuge either by directing overflow or adding a small pump. In my experience, if cheato sits still for too long the underside/unlit side starts to die and break up.
Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted anything for a few days. Here's the latest.
My tank arrived with a couple of scratches it received during shipping. This was a downer, but DAS were champs. They went straight to work on building me a new tank with a few changes I wanted.
I changed the size just a little. The tank is now 72x26x28. It now has an external overflow and a coast to coast internal overflow. It's pretty sweet.
The tank is shipping out today and should arrive in a couple of days.
Sorry. Its been a while since I've posted any updates. Lots of waiting on some tank issues. But all is good now.
So to the update:
-tank and sump are filled with water
-most of the electrical is done
-skimmer went online last night and still needs a little of work but its a beast (pics attached)
Whats left to do:
-MH light rack
-rock work
-calcium reactor
