Hi guys,
I ordered salt a little while back. It was 2 cases of 200g of Instant Ocean in the boxes. There were eight bags and two of them were heavily clumped at the time I received them. I didn't think anything of it because I thought they would just dissolve, but after mixing this last batch (from a clumped bag), I cannot get it to all dissolve after about 4 days of trying. I think a lot of the clumping is pure precipitate now and likely CaCO3. I tested the values for that entire bag mixed into 50 gallons of RO/DI and the alk was 6 dKH, the Ca was 380 ppm, and the Mg was 1000 ppm. I've adjusted those three parameters back up to what they should be, but honestly, I had to add so much additive that I'm a little afraid to use this batch. Is it possible to get a replacement bag for the other remaining clumped one (that's unopened). I don't feel good using it.
