CO2 Fills... Why such a hassle? (RANT)

Why on earth is it so freak'n difficult to get a CO2 tank filled around this town?!?!?!

I called Praxair this morning (across from Marine Solutions) asking if I could get my 10lb CO2 tank filled "no problem, about $20". So I drive up there on my lunch hour...

I walk in the door. "OH no, I can't FILL a tank, we swap them out and I don't have any".

THEN WHY DID YOU WASTE MY TIME JACK!#&*#&

I got my original fill from a carnaval supply house on Lindburg near the airport, but I don't remember the name

So then I called Helget Gas down in Hazelwood "we would need you to drop off the tank one day and pick it up the next" ... WHAT?!?! It's a freak'n 10lb tank, NOT 200 lbs!!!!!! "oh, and we're only open..." like 9-3 Monday and Thursday (it's more than that but no weekend hours and I'd have to basically take time off from work to do that anyway).


All I want is 10lb's of CO2, in MY tank, the one I OWN, the one that I know how it's been treated, how many fills, etc.

If anyone know's a good no-hassle place that can fill a 10lb CO2 tank PLEASE let me know, I might even have a little hair left if I don't pull it all out first!

There's also a Ceekay off Manchester somewhere near Grand. They may fill while you wait during the week. They're also open Saturday mornings but all you can do then is swap out a tank.

This reply might be alittle late but for future refrence the name of the place by the airport is C R FRANK POPCORN
If there is anything to know about something to do with carnivals i know all about it......heck thats where my screen name comes from!
And if anyone needs any CO2 bottles i am pretty sure i have about 5-8 of them laying out in my shop but they are empty.

Try a paintball store. I used to be into paintballing and we would have our CO2 tanks filled there pretty cheap. No hassles and took only a couple minutes. Might want to call first and make sure they will fill 10lbs though.
