co2 tank

for the calcium reactor owners, how long does your co2 tank last? Or, I should ask, how fast does the gauge on the right go down per day (psi)?

ok, have you checked your gauge for your co2 tank? Does it go down 1 psi or more per day?

I'm trying to figure out where all my co2 is going. It does not appear that I have a leak, but the co2 tank gauge goes down about 1 psi per day. My bubble count is about 1 per 8 seconds.

Use a spray bottle with dishwasher liquid and water.. spray it around the connections and look for bubbles...

My guage does not fluctuate at all... But when I set it up I had leaks all over the place.

my 10lb bottle is lasting me around 5-6 months

um i dont notice any big PSI change in one day....

u must have a leak with 1 bubble every 8 seconds its leaking somehwere ur bottle should last u a year at that bubble rate....

my bubble rate is like 1.5 per second

That must be one hec of a pressure gauge to see a 1 pound change..

Its leaking. I bought my regulator used and it leaked all over the place...

Using some teflon tape, I finally sealed it.

any chance would anyone know about the azoo regulators? is there some type of blow off valve where it releases excess pressure? Or are all regulators the same where if there is excess pressure, it's released.

Spray with water and soap to track the leaks...

Spray after you seal it also... sometimes u have to do it a few times before, and also check the gasket at the tank for leakage too..

i tried that already, but i couldnt find any leaks. frankysreef, when you had your used regulator, where were the leaks?

I had a bad gasket at the base of the tank to the regulator, and check every connection with threads.

turn the pressure on the tank all the way up. You air valve could be leaking too.

You mentioned the right gauge? In most regulators the gauge that reads the tank pressure is the one on the left closer to the tank valve. depending on the temperature that one shall read around 850 to 950 psi and will not drop until the cylinder is empty.

its probably leaking from tube. If you're using regular rubber tubing it leaks through the tube. You should replace your tube with silicon type or they have CO2 tube to prevent this leaking.

If you can't find any leaks anywhere else and using this type of tube, leak is from the tube.

i think it is my selenoid. i have screws for the selenoid that connects to the brass part, except the screws doesnt have anything to hold onto after the brass area. the black part is just a slip, so there's nothing creating a tight seal. and i just found this out now! i'll tell you guys how it goes

I dont even use a solenoid.. bought one but never hooked it up.. The way I have it set up.. if the water shuts off.. the gas escapes through the reactor and out the drip valve.
