Co2

I think I have the controller set up pretty good, I'm checking PH, ALK and calcium at least twice a day. I have a pinpoint ph meter so I check it alot, thanks for the warning though.

Geo Reactors have bottom up water flow through... It draws excess CO2 back into the pump there by having less CO2 gas in the reactor chamber as well as the effluent... It is one of the key components which sets Geo apart from MRC and other like systems... As long as you don't have your effluent running more than a drip per second and the pH in your reactor under 6.5, you'll be fine...

I had the effluent running into my HOB skimmer when the calcium reactor wasn't in a sump. Then when we transferred it to the sump (when we moved from the 135g to the 240g) I put the calcium reactor on one end of the sump where the flow from the tank splashed around a lot, then the water went to the skimmer.

It never hurts to be safe rather than sorry is all I'm saying.

McLovin'...yep...that's exactly it.

That is fine... You just don't want to get it below 6.3 Large Media or or 6.6 small media or it will likely melt your media...
