my coco worm has not come out in a couple of days. Any suggestions? Are the hermots the problem?

I have three of them. And in the beginning i thought something was wrong too. But as it turns out they go thru what I call a "re-feathering" phase. Where they lose or shed the "feathers" and re-generate new ones. But from my experience and observations this can take months. I thought mine were long dead for months and just left the tubes in the tank out of lazziness and all of a sudden one by one they reappeared with smaller feathers, which eventually grew back even prettier.

A peppermint shrimp ripped one of mine to shreds, not sure if this is common though.

I've read they can come completely out of their tube and crawl around for awhile just to go back into their tube again.

mine get picked on by a butterflyfish during the day, so they only come out a night now
