Coco worm care?

I've been told that Coco worms do not do well long term.

Can they thrive if properly cared for?

If so, what conditions do they need, and what should they be fed?

I was about to ask the same questions i just picked up a coco saturday. I know i probably shouldn't have my 29g tank has only been up 2 months and i've heard they'ree hard to keep but i just couldn't resist it and i got it pretty cheap. i know they're filter feeders but what can i put in the water for it to feed of? (this was going to be my question)

I have had my cocoa worm for well over a year and a half. probably over two years, He has even released sperm into the water column. could have been eggs i guess but looked more like milk, so im asuming he is very happy. i keep mine in medium flow and actually dont feed any filter feeder food at all. i have the cocoa, feather duster, my pink cuke, and a christmas tree worm rock. And i dont feed at all. not saying u should follow my example, but that should be testament to how well they survive.

Just take a turkey baster and blast off the rocks once in a while he will pick out want he wants from what is sirred up

I think the solution to keeping them long term is to make sure they are getting food. From what I can see, there are 2 veins that run all the way up the feather spirals. I noticed them one night with a flashlight while I was feeding. The viens were the same color as the body, but after I gave him a few good squirts of plankton they were dark green. This leads me to believe he is eating.
