coco worm issue....help

I have had him for almost 6 months and he seems to not come out of his tube any longer. I realized tonight that this started to happen when I changed pumps onmy aquapod, as i changed the pump to a maxi 1200.
the maxi is also putting out a ton of micro bubbles, could this be the culprit? last time I saw him, his crown was kind of closed.

I assume he is still in the tube and did not bail out as there is no sign of a body or any remenance. ( I assume some of his crown would be floating around)

nitrates 10ppm
trites 0ppm
PH 8.2
cal. 440ppm

Like a feather duster, the crown falls off and then it will grow another one. Also, an Aquapod is probably to small of a tank to sustain for very long. Good luck.
