Coffee table glass -> baffles?

I have an old coffee table that I am getting rid of and the table top is a huge single piece of glass. I was wondering if I could cut it into a couple pieces to make baffles for my sump. I would rather not just give it a try because I could use the glass later for another table, so suggestions? Would I just just a glass cutter and snap it into pieces?

Tables are usually tempered and cant be cut.

And way too thick. Glass is cheap.
