yea at night for the past almost week now its been in the 30s. and crazy news that it may snow here saturday. the high will be 29 with a 60% chance of rain..:eek1:

Wow I love your shots! I had to scrape ice off my windshield for the first time in....ever? So much for Global Warming! What a crock!

actually, global warming isn't necessarily warmer temperatures all year round. in layterms, it can best be described as more erratic and more extreme weather - higher highs, lower lows, deserts get drier, rainy places get wetter, etc etc etc. I don't mean to start a debate here, so please let's not all go nuts here, but it is a pet peave of mine when people are cold and say that global warming is a hoax because of it.

NaNo - I like the first pic with the leaf - well composed in my opinion. What camera/lens are you using?

Kilroy: It's tough to get the message across when the average person does not know the distinction between climate and weather. Add the fact that it will require people to change their habits :)

Nano: Nice pics. I love the little D40. It was my first camera (first that I bought myself). You can take some amazing pictures with it as long as you have enough light. Have you tried playing with the color balance settings on your D40 yet? It seems the color balance is a bit off on some of the pictures (or it could just be a personal taste, in that case, do what you like best).

One cool thing about the D40/D60 is that you can use some very old Nikon lenses on them (pre-AI) where as the more advanced DSLR's from Nikon will be damaged by those lenses. There are some old lenses with very good optics that you can buy for cheap as long as you don't mind manual everything and no metering.
