hi , does the trick with the flash light work just after the hatching ??
i collected my first hatch one hour after light off and it worked perfect .
for the second hatch after three hours i had no reaction to the light !!
my q. is : the second hatch was "bad" ? or i have to do the collection within one hour time ??

I usually only get one hatch and I use the flashlight. I wouldn't get to hung up on those that don't come to the light. It is hard to say if they were"bad" becuase they were not attracted to light. Maybe they were actually smart  They did not get captured.

Good Luck with the fry.

sorry i was not clear ,
the second hatch is from the same fish after 18 days from the firs one . for the fry, i had just one suviver from the first hatch one cm now, from the second nothing they vanished on day two , now i am waiting the third one ! the problem is that i have no rotifire . i will give it a try with micron from sera ( powder dry food ) till they will be big enought for the artemia !! any sugestions !
wish me luck .

I don't think the dry food will work but you never know. Is there nowhere you can get Rotifers? You may be able to culture pods from your reef...

rotifers here !!! no way . just if i will order it from the us , and if it should be kept cool that will be difficult , ups take 5 to 7 days ...
for the pods culture , any tips???

Rotifers will last 5-7 days no problem if packed properly. For the pods I would siphon out some tiny ones and start in a small container with a little phyto and aerate. As you get more pods, move them to a bigger container. As the water clears add a little more phyto. Rotifers would be better. You could order Rotifer cysts and hatch them out yourself. That may be your best option.
