College Tank

So, I have started to build my tank up for fall semester i am moving into my apartment to finish my bachelors in biology and am restricted down to only a ten gallon.... Not really thrilled about it but nothing I can do about it. I am converting my fowlr into a reef tank now so that i can get the most out of only having ten gallons to work with. I currently have in the tank a bunch of cerith snails, hermits and then for livestock i have 2 small pulsing xenia frags, a sun colony, a button polyp colony and then a crocea clam, for fish i have one clown and then a damsel which in time i may switch out before the move. Im looking for some more ideas on coral bright colors species that would work in this set up. As for lighting I currently am running the t5 ho coralife fixture thinking about adding some leds as well anyone have any input on that?

Thanks guys!

The sun coral will need frequent feedings, as it is NPS. So Good filtration on that 10g is a must, plus diligent water changes. Good luck with the move!

Thanks! I have had it for about a month now i feed it about 3 times a week with the pop bottle method I have been testing the water almost daily to keep everything in check and see what im going to be in for i have been doing two 10 percent changes a week and that seems to be keeping everything pretty well in check

What is your filtration on this tank? I'm also a college student and you can get around this ten gallon limit if you can plumb a sump or external Refugium inline somewhere. (just make sure its hidden) Display would of course be the same, but you would have a little leeway in water quality. I'm also a bio major! Good luck!
