Color Loss and Chemistry

After upgrading from my 20 to my 90, I noticed that all of my monti's started to lose their bright, beautiful colors. I had never had to test my water to keep my corals happy in my smaller tank, but after testing, I found my alkalinity to be extremely low (between 5 and 6). Over a week and a half, I raised my alk to 9.1 using Aquavitro Eight.four. I also have added Brightwell Aquatic Kalk+2 to my ATO, and my calcium levels are at 500 and Magnesium levels are at 1400. What is strange is that the majority of color loss is in the base. My sunset monti still has neon green polyps, but the base has gone from a vivid orange to brown.

Are all of the levels inline with what they should be? And how long before I can expect to see colors return to my montis? I am running an 8 bulb T5 fixture and keep my salinity at 1.25. Thanks for your help!

Low Alk can stress them out. Also a new system will cause them to brown out untill they acclimate to you new system. I wouldnt worry about it unless they start to STN or RTN.

It´s normal that corals lose their colors when we upgrade or move the corals to another tank

I keep my alk 5 / 6 and I never had a problem

Just be patiente and the colors will back

Best Regards
