Color morphs

Hey, how do zoa's change their color morphs? Or do they even do that? Well.. i have this zoa rock that originally had only 2 different color morphs on it. One was a bright green skirt, the other was the normal bright orange skirt. well, recently as more zoas start popping up on the rock, some of the new ones have the green skirt, but orange eyes. the exact same color as the orange skirt ones, and conversely, im getting some orange skirts, with green eyes.

is this from being on the same rock and "intermixing" with the other zoas there? Or is it just something that happens.

TIA

I've noticed with several colonies in our tank that morphing is normal. I'm guessing it's a change in their genetic makeup. When we bought our tank there was one type of zoa. That single type of zoa has morphed into three other zoas. We still have a colony of the original, but the morphs are just as pretty as the original colony.
