so as some of you might know i got a small amount of copper in the tank and had to take emergency measures by transferring all my corals. i put them in a 20 gallon tank. i had my first sps coral which was a monti cap. it was tableing and making ledges, the top ledge was green and the bottom ledge was red. i put them all in a 20 gallon tank with a heater, powerhead and some gfo and polyfiber to keep and toxic chemicals out until i could bring it over to my friends house the next day which is today. of course the heater didnt turn off... so my frogspawn is gone. my favia might make it. the others look ok but the monti cap which used to be green on top is all red now. does this mean its dead or what color does it have to be to know its dead. my friend said it looks like its still alive but hes an lps guy and doesn't have any sps at all. it was in the tank for about 12 hours only about 6 when the temp started to raise above 80 degrees. when i was taking them out i had no idea how hot the water was but it was like a hot tub so thats why everything was doing so bad. so what color does the monti cap have to be to be dead. right now its sitting in my friends tank high up under leds. and its red.
