colorful sea stars for my 75

How long has your tank been running? And are you an expert reef keeper? If so, red fromia and blue linkea stars are nice. These are ONLY FOR EXPERTS and I don't even think your tank is big enough. Those are about the only safe stars you could get.

Serpent starfish would be happy and fine in there. They're not pretty and hide alot through, but they're cool and benefical cleaning up after other livestock. They're actually the most harmless starfish despite how much of an octopus they seem.

If your tank is a year or two (preferably 2) then red fromia can be atempted.. most starfish other than those are not reef safe.. These are also harmless as they are very diet specific.. biofilm which is only present in large, and old established systems.

I was just reading about pacific jewel starfish that is reef safe and eats astrenias stars. Pretty cool looking from the few pics I saw

Red serpent and red brittle are quite colourful, but stay away from green brittles. They'll catch and eat fish etc.

You can find some cool looking serpents. Harlequin and orange serpents from the Caribbean are very pretty. You can occasionally find bright red ones, too, but they're unusual and usually kind of spendy compared to others.

It's true that they're not the most active, but you can usually see them at feeding time.
