Just got this one from extreme corals. It the first leather that I've ever really wanted to buy.

Nice pickup, I had that stupid thing in my cart for so long, I knew I would regret not pulling the trigger on it. if you ever decide to frag it...;).

I bet that pops under actinics

getting flourescants like that is pretty rare you can find bright and colorful

Just an update on the green sinularia. A few days after that first tank shot, 1/2 of it melted away, which I attributed to shipping damage. I decided not to mess with it and it started growing from a few healthy stalks. The color is somewhat less vibrant now, but still very bright on the polyps.

Here is my purple Lemnalia and I am not sure of another one, but it's some type of yellow leather.

There's a very dark blue "blue devil's finger" on aquacon, http://www.aquacon.com/softcoral.html
but Im not sure what to make of it... seems 'fishy' to me, my sister bought on though, I could provide an update in a month or two and see how it does/looks...

I was asked to provide an update on this, so here we go :)

I dont have any pictures because it is not my tank (2500 miles away...) and my sister doesnt take pictures of her tank (she gets frustrated because the first one doesnt turn out and doesnt take more). I have seen the coral twice since she got it though.

Despite being an absoultely fresh frag that hadn't quite attached to a rock prior to being sent, the coral has done fine, normal PE, normal growth in four months, etc.

However, it came in more of a light periwinkle color than the dark blue that is on their website...

It has also faded to almost the standard pink/natural color that most softies take on since. It is still a little bit blue/purple, but no where near the periwinkle it was when it came in or the dark blue on the aqua con website. The color change was very obvious between the two times I saw it.

IMO, based on the color loss this was a dyed coral.

I'm sorry to hear that...AquaCon is infamous for being crooked. Just look on the vendor feedback forum and you'll see. I dealt with them once under another aquatic business they run under a different name, and had to file a claim with PayPal to get a refund after they took my money, never responded to my attempts to contact them, and never sent the item I ordered.

i just got this guy in the tank. i dont think hes completely open yet. the lfs guy said he thinks its a colt, but he wasnt absolutely sure. i kinda thought it was a blue kenya or something. what you guys think it is?
