colt ccoral and chemicals

i have a colt coral and was wandering if they give off chemicals

Cladiella (Colt Corals) sp. can give off toxins which discourage other corals growing in their space. They are not considered to be very toxic. Most skimmers are able to remove these toxins. Also activated charcoal can remove some of these "chemicals."

I agree with the above. They're not too toxic. Kind of a tenderfoot actually. JMO.
