Colt Coral Predicament

This is going to be hard to describe without pictures, but I will do my best. I'll post pics later when the tank lights come on:

So I purchased a good sized Colt Coral from an LFS today, and I am having a very difficult time trying to place it. The base of the Colt stretches about 5-7 inches across, but it's not attached to a rock. It's like it was harvested from a coral shard rubble bed or something to where it is attached to 20 or more little pieces of rock/coral/rubble. Because of this, the base is kind of webbed throughout all of that. Instead of a solid base to work with, it's more like a loose mat of rubble that I can't get to take hold anywhere.

My thoughts are:

* I could put super glue gel on a few of the larger pieces of rubble and secure those to one of my pieces of Live Rock. My only concern with this is that "mat base of rubble" won't be able to attach because it moves in the water current.

* I have considered rubber bands, but I would have to disturb the DT rockwork for that. It would also take a really big rubber band to make its way around one of the larger rocks in my tank.

* I thought about purchasing another medium sized piece of Live Rock and rubber band it to that, but I really don't won't to add anymore rock to my DT nor do I necessarily want an isolated Colt Coral rock. I think it would look odd.

*Also, the way the base has webbed around all of that rubble like that, it is almost fragging/splitting itself in many different places. It has a lot of trunks to it, so I was thinking this could be an opportunity to split up the whole into a few smaller Colts. Maybe then I could tuck those into crevices a little more easily?

I messed with its placement for about an hour today and finally just gave up. I think it was starting to stress a little (I know that I was), so I just kind of draped it over one of my rocks for the night. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated because I still can't decide what exactly I am going to do. I might take a flash photo in a second to shed a little light on my situation. :lmao:

Bad photos but you can kind of see the rubble pieces that I'm talking about:

That piece on the left is barely hanging on there. That's one of the natural split spots I was talking about:

Nevermind, Problem Solved.

Nevermind, Problem Solved.

It turned out to be a lot more simple than I had imagined. After the lights came on, I cut that segment on the left from the rest of the Colt. That's it, problem solved! I was able to snugly tuck some of the rubble on both pieces into my Live Rock crevices, and all seems to be well.

Draped from last night:
