Im interested in getting a large piece of colt or kenya as one of the main show pieces in my tank once im up and going does anyone know a place to aquire larger pieces of coral such as the colt?

Also I was curious who all else had this coral and wanted to see pictures of what you have! I know alot of people consider them to be a pain because they spread like the plague but I kind of like that about them and I like how they look and move with the current. I had a huge nice piece when I previously had my tank set up and want another, so lets see what you have!

here is what i got.

I'm not sure what the first pic is. So if anyone knows that would help. either way i like it a lot.

the first pic looks like a colt or kenya not really sure. either way I like both pics!

I love all the pics everyone has posted lets keep them coming im hoping to buy me a large piece for my tank as one of my main corals. Does any sponsers sell large pieces of these coral for an affordable price? I really dont want to start out with a 2-3in frag

Here is one from my tank. It is really, really pretty...provides a lot of movement. Its also quite large over 12". My rabbit fish loves it...he sleeps in it at night :inlove:!

@CT Reefer, You don't have any issues with keeping it the sand? I had read that keeping it directly in the sand irritates it.

Hey u know theres a difference between kenyas and colt corals right? the kenyas only get to a certain size and then start dropping branches like crazy and they dont flow as well in the water and the colt coral just grows and grows unless you frag it. and its softer and flows better

DD has some beautiful colts, and that's where I got mine. It's not my favorite coral, but it's the first one everyone notices because of the deep pink color and all the movement.
