Combine glass/acrylic

Hello,

Is it possible to combine the glass with acrylic? For example: The front view made of crystal clear glass and the sides en back made of acrylic.
In this way I have a lot of options for plumbing, and much less scratches in my front view.

Bad idea. There is no good way to bond the two together.

Thats not exactly true...

You could build the acrylic part like you would a plywood tank and mount the glass front from the inside, into an acrylic frame. The water pressure holds the glass tight to the front frame.
