hello everyone,
Im sure this is a age old question,but I am new to the reefsafe wrasse world,and now that I have a few I love them and want more.
but my question is,has anyone compiled a database of wrasses that will be compatable together,I am finding there are sooo many kinds.mater of fact I just purchased one saturday that was listed as a purple cometa wrasse,but no google search has pulled up any info on it or pics that look like it.
I wish I had some pics to share,but at this time I dont.if memory serves me,I think he is black or dark blue? with two silverish/blue stripes on each side going from his nose to his tail,one on the top side and one on the under belly,and a body like a yello coris wrasse.I also purchased a red fin wrasse that my blue sided fairy wrasse is harrassing nonstop.they have the same type of body but different colors.
but here is what I have currently,
4'' yellow coris
2'' cometa wrasse?
2.5'' blue sided fairy wrasse
2'' red fin wrasse
and here are the ones I will be getting I hope.
mystery wrasse
radiant wrasse
christmas wrasse
leopard wrasse
possum wrasse
elegant coris wrasse
this is a 155 gallon tank with the following other fish also,
male and female mandarin gobies
yellow tang
2 perculas clowns
cinnamon clown
2 yellow watchman gobies
and about 200lbs of live rock and various corals,lps,sps,zoanthids,clams,snails,1- large cleaner shrimp,pistol shrimp,emerald crabs.
so if theres any really good sites out there with good info on wrasses I would love to see them.
